Maitland entered a team in the recent Masters State Titles in Newcastle.

Results

Friday   2-0 (Macarthur) and 1-2 (Upper Hunter) Man of the match – too close to call in game 1, Keeper Stan Hart by a mile in game 2

Saturday 0-3 (Wagga) and 0-0 (Newcastle 3)

Sunday – Didn’t get into the finals

The team was made up of Maitland players over 45, mostly over 50, some over 55 (some might even be over 60!)

Wanted: Team masseur or physio, female, kind and gentle with firm hands for rubbing legs and backs of old blokes. Fee – a kind word and a lukewarm beer. Criteria – warm and vertical, preferably breathing, tolerant of whinging.
