The 2020 edition of the Hunter Cup is now being organised. The competition is aimed as a competitive
pre season event for higher level club teams, but will include a competition for lower level mens club
teams to also participate.

2020 sees the return of the HockeyNSW U18 Boys team to the tournament. So would be great to see a few
more HCPHL sides and top Sydney teams participating again.

So just how will the competition work?

The competition will be a 1 day event to be held on Sunday March 8th 2020 at the Newcastle
International Hockey Centre, using the 3 water turfs.
Planning to run the following:
‐ Mens Hunter Cup (minimum 4 teams)
‐ Womens Hunter Cup (minimum 4 Teams)
‐ Mens Presidents Cup (lower graded sides minimum 4 teams)

Umpiring

All teams will provide an umpire who will be rostered to umpire games on the day. This is not negotiable, games do not go ahead without umpires.

Costs
Each team will pay a $280 nomination fee. This allows participation in the competition. No further
costs are required.
*** Note this is a not for profit event. We charge enough per team to cover the costs of turf hire, trophies and so on.
